Calisto's Internship for Food Sustainability

Hi everyone, my name is Gonçalo Calisto, I am a Portuguese Cook and I'm seeking help to raise funds for my internships around Europe.

A couple of years ago, I started changing my cooking mindset to an ideology of zero waste as I grew more concerned about food sustainability. However, I feel that I lack a little in knowledge.

I want to learn as much as I can when it comes to sustainable values and practices with the goal of opening my own restaurant with this philosophy in mind.

As such, I’m planning on interning in different restaurants throughout this year (starting in March/April) in various countries (Germany, Iceland, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway). I will stay from 2 weeks to 1 month in each restaurant, but unfortunately all of these internships are unpaid and without any type of help with accommodations.

It would mean so much to me if you can help me fulfill this dream and amazing opportunity!

Overall, these internships will cost around 6000€-7000€ (below I provide an estimate of the costs). During the last few months, I worked very hard to save money for this experience and I was able set aside a good amount of money, but it's not enough and I'm asking for help to raise around 2000€ to cover some of the expenses. The smallest amount helps and every donation is truly appreciated.

Accommodations: 3500€-4500€

Flights: 700€-900€

Living Expenses: 2000€-2500€

In-country Transportation: 200€-300€
