Hello, my name is Caitlin Maera Shorey.
I recently competed for the title of Pennsylvania Princess in the National American Miss State Pageant and was selected as the 4th place finalist to compete in the national pageant in Anaheim, California this November! I would very much like to compete in the national pageant and share with other girls what I learned at my state pageant, but in order to do that, I need your sponsorship to help me raise money for my fees and expenses. I am asking that you consider sponsoring me.
National American Miss teaches girls, ages 4-20, life-skills like resume and thank you letter writing, interview preparation, community service, public speaking and how to present themselves to an audience. At the Pennsylvania state pageant, I learned about time management, how to walk with grace and poise in a formal outfit, and to be kind and keep a positive attitude all the time, even when I am tired. I won trophies for public speaking, singing and performing, outstanding program participation and having a great spirit. Out of 84 girls, I made it to the top 10, winning 4th place overall and the opportunity to compete for the National All American Miss Princess Queen title! I made new friends and I had a lot of fun. I have learned so much already but I am looking forward to gaining more experience and making more new friends at the national pageant!
Another reason this pageant is so important to me is because my mommy was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in April of 2017. She and I worked so hard together to prepare for the State pageant and now we get the chance to travel to California and do it all over again on the National level. We're not sure how long she will be healthy enough to help me with pageants so this may be our only chance to do something like this.
The pageant is in November but the deadline for payments is October 10th! Any donation amount is appreciated, even if it's only $10! Please help me make this dream come true and help me make some amazing memories with my mommy!
