Caitlin's Journey

This is my best friend, Caitlin. I was the maid of honor in her wedding, and I was there when her son was born. Everybody that knows Caitlin, knows that if Caitlin was somewhere, I wasn't lagging too far behind.

She is a nurse, a wife, and a mother to an adorable one-year-old son. Just this past week, she was diagnosed with ductal cell carcinoma in her right breast. She will have to have a lumpectomy, followed with radiation, chemo, and a bilateral breast mastectomy. I know she is scared and worried, but one thing I don't want her to have to worry about is medical expenses at this time. Being a healthy 29-year-old, cancer is the last thing on your mind. With that being said, she has no short term or long term disability, and no cancer insurance policy. Once she begins chemo treatments she will have to go on family medical leave without pay. In writing this I know a lot of people know Caitlin and love her, so I want us to be able to help her any way we can. All proceeds will go toward her medical treatment. Any little bit will help.
