Hi my name is Maylifa I'm a 14 year old female boxer in the junior girls 44kg division with over 15 fights making me an experienced fighter.

I'm known to my peers as Maylifa "The Lightning" Sheppard.
I've been boxing for just over 4 years during this time I've achieved numerous awards and titles. In 2017 I won my first Golden gloves title on that same day I was awarded Stings 2017 Fight life school girls "Fighter of the tournament" award. Since then I've been 3 times National Golden gloves champion, 4 times Qld State Champ and twice runner up at Australian titles.

My inspiration is to one day win Gold for Australia in the Olympic games before setting my eyes on the dream of becoming the womens next unified world champion (why i took up boxing).
Outside the ring I believe I'm a very intelligent person. I endeavour to be a great role model. I believe this is the reason I've been honoured with the responsibility of Indigenous and school leadership roles at every school I've attended.

Those that know me well say I'm humble, polite and respectful, determined and a fearless young lady all necessary traits needed to becoming a successful fighter.
By attending i will be doing two things not only furthering my knowledge but at the same time help others and that is the most fulfilling feeling. I believe it's this special kindness i have, along with my uniquely different fighting style is the reason that ive been invited to attend this development camp in Egypt. But if the opportunity to fight whilst there comes up, I'm going to humbly take it with both hands.

There is a great intiative in Egypt for more females in leadership and boxing is leading the way. I feel this is an opportunity of a life time for me whilst im still young to make a contribution towards empowering women around the world. I always say to my coach " helping other girls is a lot more fulfilling than winning". But don't take me wrong, I'm in the ring to win. So please donate help me make a difference in the world beit boxing in the right direction.

Thank you
Maylifa "the lightning" Sheppard.
