Hi,

I'm Stacey,

I'm after having a new baby girl who wasn't supposed to be home for a long time as she was diagnosed with TOF which is a congential heart disease, Solitary Kidney and a Unilateral Cleft Lip & Palate and because of it all I didn't purchase anything for Cadhla as I was prepared for the worst outcome as at the start I was told she didn't have a viable outcome.

She is doing well, her heart rate is back to normal and her oxygen levels are good, she has also just being taken off her NG feeding tube, so I have being told I can take her home soon to wait for surgery, she needs to be 6kg to have the open heart surgery she desperately needs to replace her pulmonary artery and place a stent in her other valve too, also she needs a repair to the hole in her heart. 

She will also need at least two to three surgeries to repair her cleft lip and palate as it is quiet severe but she needs to have her heart surgery done first as she would not be strong enough without.

Once we are home we will have weekly appointments in my Gp and also CUH Cork and Our Ladys Childrens hospital Crumlin and I need all the help I can get.

I am struggling with the cost of travel and accommodation and food as I am also breastfeeding so need to constantly eat to keep the carbohydrates up in my milk so she puts on enough weight.

Because she is so small when she is in hospital she is in the nursery so I have to rent accommodation in the hospital to be with her and im also feeding her myself as it is a 3 hour drive each way to my home.

I also have extra travel costs so my two sons at home can come up and spend time with me when we are in hospital.

I've never done anything like this before and feel quiet vulnerable asking for help, but thank you to each and everyone of you for your emotional and physical support already, this isn't easy and I am doing it as a single parent, my family and friends have being amazing and I have made alot of new friends too, just financially it is draining and I still have to keep my home going for my boys while I am in and out of hospital.
