Help send Steve Agronick to the World Mountain Bike Championships in Norway on Monday August the 25th 2014. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Steve Agronick. I live in the Villages Florida which is in Central Florida right smack in the middle of the state. I am a Master’s bicycle racer (70+) and compete on a regular basis in mountain biking, time trials and road races with great success. My racing journey began 25 years ago when I raced all over New England, New Jersey and New York. I have won state and regional Championships in New England, New Jersey and New York State. My greatest successes have been in mountain biking. In 2004 we moved to Florida and I have never looked back, I love it here; it is a beautiful state and perfect for riding and racing bicycles all year long. My racing got a new lease on life when I landed in Florida. I have won 2 State Road racing Championships , 1 Crit, 3 silver medals in time trial State Championships and two runner up positions in the Florida Mountain Bike Championships. This year I was a Silver medalist in the Florida State Mountain Bike Championships. This race was a qualifier for the National Championships which were held in Pennsylvania on July 18th. I am happy to say I won this and I am very proud to say I am the current National Champion in my age group. Well, the next chapter is about to begin I want to go to Lillehammer Norway at the end of August to compete in the World Mountain Biking Championships and represent the USA and bring home the Gold. I can do it! My training is going very well and I will be ready. Of course it costs money and it's expensive, there is plane fare , hotel, car rental, bike transportation and food. This is not a vacation but my quest to become the Master’s World Champion and to represent the USA and bring home the Gold. I have been in contact with USA Cycling and if I can raise the money I will be wearing the Stars and Stripes team uniform. In closing I am passionate about what I do and my dedication is without comparison. I could use your help in the form of a donation. Any amount will help and no amount is too small.
