Cure for Andy

One never expecst their life to take this type of turn so quicklly.  It was just 9 years ago that Andy and I started our life as husband and wife.  Yes, we knew that there would be struggles because Andy had been diagnosed with Chrohn's disease several years prior, but we felt like we could handle this disease together by following the doctors advice and watching our diets.  Life was very good; we were both working and saved enought money to purchase a house.  After about 4 years, Andy started having intense stomach pain again and the doctors continued to treat him for Chrohn's and diverticulitis.  The pain continued and Andy was unable to continue to work.  Weeks turned into months and months into years and finally we got a diagnosis that we were not expecting - stage 4 pancreatic cancer!!  Talk about watching your world come to a crashing halt!  No one ever dreams that at the age of 33 you would hear the words "cancer" much less "stage 4 pancreatic cancer".  In the past several months, Andy has battled with the chemo, (they finally have a coctail which he can tolerate) and staying healthy enough to take the chemo.  He just recently was diagnosed with a blockage in his bile duct which caused jaundice and he had to have a stent put in, which once again delayed chemo.  He has been taking radiation for intense hip pain.  They have noticed a spot on his hip bone, but are not sure if it is cancer or arthiritis and apparently radiation will help with either diagnosis.  He is doing his best to keep his spirits up.  We continue to ask for your prayers during this difficult time and appreciate any and all of your support both financially and spiritually. We have a facebook page set up under the name of "Cure for Andy" that I do my best to keep updated with what is currently going on.
