Demarion's Medical Fund

Demarion Pittman was born a normal little boy.  He enjoyed playing with his sisters, cousins and dog.  In the summer of 2007, when he was only three years old, Demarion’s life was forever changed when his daycare provider forgot him in a hot van for more than two hours.  This one accident caused severe brain damage, leaving him with life-threatening neurological disorders.
These neurological disorders have affected every part of Demarion’s being.  Among others, he suffers from epilepsy, is legally blind, and cannot even move his elbows, leaving his arms bent at his chest.  Imagine what your life would be like if your arms were in slings, strapped to your chest, 24 hours a day…that is Demarion’s every day.   He cannot do so many of the daily things we each take for granted; like feeding himself, dressing himself, or even combing his hair.  Now, imagine that you have those slings on, and you need comfort in the form of a hug, but it is impossible to stretch out your arms.  And that is what Demarion faces each day, because he cannot move his arms to even give his family a hug.
But, there is some hope for this sweet boy to be able to give those hugs!  Over the next year, through a course of four surgeries, doctors are confident that they can give Demarion some mobility in his elbows and improve his quality of life.  Since the accident, Demarion’s family has faced a mountain of never-ending medical expenses.  These four surgeries, followed by years of extensive therapy and medical devices post-op will certainly add to that ever-growing mountain.
And this is how you can help!  If you would like to contribute to Demarion’s Hope for the Future, please consider donating to this GoFundMe campaign.  Immediately following the accident, doctors said that Demarion would never sit up, walk, or run again, but his strong spirit and determination have proved everyone wrong.  This little boy has a steel will, as he continues to make strides no one thought possible.  Your contribution will help him to make not only a stride, but a giant leap forward, as he will finally be able to embrace those who love him the very most, his family.
