Supporting Robert Gonzales' health and healing

For over 30 years, Robert Gonzales has touched countless lives through his teachings of Living Compassion and Nonviolent Communication. Now he is in need of our help.

In February, Robert was diagnosed with a recurrence of esophageal cancer (view Robert's updates on his Caring Bridge site ). He has had to dramatically cut back on this teaching schedule and cancel workshops and retreats while receiving treatment. Combined with mounting medical bills, the loss of his regular income adds to the crisis he now faces.

Several of us have created a “Caring Collective” to organize support for Robert at this time of deep need. There is no question that our lives have been enriched and deepened by his presence and teaching. Now we want to give back and widen this caring circle.

We invite you to join this circle of energy and blessing, and to make a financial contribution to support Robert's continuing healing journey.

Our goal is to raise $70,000 by June 30, 2021. To achieve this, we are aiming to get at least $15,000 in pledges within the first week of our campaign. The momentum and inspiration from this will help to carry us through to our final goal. We hope you will consider leading the way with a gift of any amount in the opening days of the campaign.

"I welcome support and companionship with people who want to send their energy, their prayers, and their blessings. I believe that this is a very powerful way that can support healing. Seeing me alive and thriving is the kind of thought that does help me. 

Also, my work of Living Compassion has been accelerated and intensified recently, and I’m very clear that I’m not finished yet; I’m not ready to go because I love this work. I love the work of inviting people, bringing the possibility of compassion into the heart, into relationships, and into life.

For several reasons, I have decided not to use the conventional medical care that is available to me and seek only alternative care. The treatment that I am seeking is not covered by my health insurance and I need help being able to afford this care. If you’re motivated to support me, I am very grateful!"
