I am 39 years old with 3 children and in march of 2014 I went to my local walk in (I have no insurance) with swollen glands and a sore throat I was told I have meningitis and was sent to St. Mary's hospital. After tons of blood work my white cell count was 150,000 and against the hospital doctors I went home promising I would come back in the morning. My husband knew right away I had Leukemia. March 13, 2014 I was told by St. Mary's hospital I was to sick for them to help me and was sent to Smilow Cancer at Yale, there I slipped into a coma for 6 weeks. I woke up unable to walk, talk or use my arms. I was finally able to come home June 10, 2014. Unfortunately I was admitted back in the hospital on July 24, 2014
