Cancer Mission for the Mabrys

Just a few weeks ago, our lives were very different. My husband,  Steve Mabry, has diabetes. One morning, his blood sugar plummeted, causing him to become disoriented and fall out of bed. He fractured two vertebrae in the fall. His doctor performed two separate surgeries to repair the damaged vertebrae, but the pain only became worse. Further testing revealed that my husband has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which has metastasized to his spine. Although this diagnosis is devastating, Steve is ready to fight this cancer with everything he has. We are all praying to God for strength and courage. 

I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus several years ago. Because this disease has progressively attacked my organs, I now require monthly infusions to try and slow down the damage. My husband has taken care of me during my illness. Now, in the blink of an eye, our roles are reversed.

Steve has not been able to work since his fall and it is not likely that he will be able to return. We simply are not financially prepared for this, and the bills are currently more than my income alone can handle.
