Teaching English in Mexico

Hola friends and family,
As most of you know, I am planning on moving down to Mexico and working with Rio Bravo Ministires this fall. My main goal with this experience is to lead others to develop an authentic, passionate relationship with Jesus Christ. I will seek to do this through a variety of different ways- teaching, mentoring, and friendships.
My main job will be teaching English at Escuela Esperanza (Hope Christian school). This school has 450students registered for this coming year, 35 of which reside in the orphanage. Since this is a Christian school, it broadens my outreach circle as most of the children I will be teaching are from outside the orphanage.
I will be living at an apartment at the orphanage and thus will be constantly surrounded by people. Most of the children at the orphanage are from broken homes touched by addictions, abuse, and poverty. Many have come close to losing all hope. I will seek to develop friends and mentor the girls and point them to our only home, our Rock and our Refuge (Psalms 61:2-3).
I will also be putting my degree in nutrition and credentials as a Registered Dietitian to help out at the orphanage and school. I will be blazing a new path as they have never had a RD on staff and I am excited to see how God will use my knowledge and passion for nutrition down there.
I am so excited about this upcoming experience; however I can’t do this alone. I would love for YOU to be a part of my ministry down in Mexico. First and foremost, I ask for your prayers- prayer is Vital (James 5:16). Please begin praying as I prepare to head down to Mexico, I have a lot of details to figure out (car insurance, moving, ect.). Also please pray that I would continue to have peace about this upcoming move and not to worry about all the things I need to get done.
Secondly finances are also a factor that needs to be worked out. Although I am given a small stipend, which I am thankful for, it does not cover the cost of paying for car insurance, health insurance, phone service, ect. Please prayerfully consider giving financially as the Lord leads you. If you’d like to give, feel free to do it here and feel free to contact me for other options as well.
I look forward to sharing with you & keeping you updated on my ministry in Mexico and how God is working in me and using me to share the Good News- “This is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” John 17:3.
