Autumn's Adventure- Fight Like a Girl!

On May 17th, 2014 Brandon Smalley,a Sergeant in the United States Army and Rebekah Smalley, a Kansas State University student brought Ms. Autumn Jean Smalley into the world. On Wednesday July 23rd, 2014 at 9 weeks old, Ms. Autumn was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma. Retinoblastoma is an aggressive cancer of the eye. On Friday July 25th they went to meet their first specialist in Kansas City, MO. This specialist decided that the best doctor and treatment for Ms. Autumn would be in New York City. On Monday July 28th they traveled to New York City. Autumn is scheduled to have her initial test and first round of chemotherapy on Tuesday July 29th. They have been told there will be a minimum of 5 treatments with 3 to 4 weeks inbetween each one. This means they will have to travel from Manhattan, Kansas to New York City for each treatment, staying up to a week each time. After these 5 treatments Autumn will go through some more test to see where the cancer stands and to see what the future treatment plan will be.

Although the family does have insurance they will have a deductible that is unknown at this time. The family will need lodging and food while in New York City. They will also have to fly roundtrip flights from Kansas City to New York City.

We are asking for donations to help this young family while going through Autumn's Adventures. We want her caring family's focus to be on Autumn's Adventure and not the money they will need. No amount is too small or underapprciated!
