Help Jen Recover

Hi there. I’m Melissa, and Jen is my best friend of the last 8 years.

She is currently fighting for her life in the Neuro ICU at UCI medical center. This started a few weeks ago, after recovering from Covid. After ten days of horrible headaches, she finally went to the hospital - at which point I witnessed her having a stroke while we waited for a room. The underlying causes are still being investigated and are not perfectly understood. What we do know, though, isn’t great right now. Her brain stem has had a stroke and she currently has limited responsiveness.

 

The drs have said Jen has given us some hopeful signals, and we are clinging to that.

 

This fundraiser is to help cover Jennifer’s expenses, while we wait for disability to get sorted out, and to help ensure her family can travel to be with her as they are located in Utah. The money will go to Stefanie right now while Jen is unable to manage her finances.
