COVID-19 Protective equipment fundraiser

Dear all in the community,
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has been so fierce, with 531,955 cases reported worldwide on Thursday.
The United States has become the hardest hit country with at least 85,454 people infected so far, including more than 1,296 deaths to date. There are more cases here than in China, Italy, Spain, and other countries. The number of newly infected people is still increasing .
As the COVID-19 health crisis rages on, the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers are fighting at the frontlines of the pandemic battling to contain the spread. However, they are facing a severe shortage of personal protective equipment, PPE, including goggles, masks, and gowns which are needed to safely treat patients and to prevent medical staff from getting infected.
It is imperative that we prioritize the safety of our doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, so as to protect our own health and lives.
During this extraordinary time, my organization, the Columbus Chinese Physicians Associations (CCPA), is asking for your donations which will be used to purchase medical supplies and protective equipment for local hospitals and clinics, especially benefitting those healthcare providers in ERs and ICUs. 新冠病毒引起的全球感染 (COVID-19)疫情来势凶猛，新感染者急剧增加，现在全球病人总人数已经高达 531，955 人。美国的患病人数再创新高达85，414人，已经超过中国，意大利，西班牙等国家。美国成为世界上COVID-19 疫情最严重的国家。
随着新增病例和总病人数量的急剧上升，全美医疗服务的压力日益加大。许多医生护士，尤其是医院急诊一线的医护人员，目前缺乏有效的保护用品，使许多地区医护人员缺乏合适的个人保护用品，他们的健康与生命受到极大的危胁。 保护医护人员的健康也是保护我们自己的健康与生命
在此非常时期，我们号召在华人社区中，发起“抗病毒，爱医护、献爱心”的大型捐款活动。
恳请大家团结起来，继续捐款给冒着生命危险的一线医护人员，共同抗击新冠病毒感染。
所有捐赠款将用来购买医疗防护用品，赠送给本地抗疫一线的医护人员。进一步也可考虑将防护用品赠给本地警察，公共服务人员及老弱群体等。
捐赠多少不限，表达心意即可。本活动保证所有的善款都将用于购买防护用品捐赠给急需的医护人员。本活动保证账目透明公开。所有的工作都由义工承担，尽力做到迅速、高效，落实到第一线医护手中。
让我们一起努力，相互帮助 , 共度时难。 期盼病疫早逝，祈福大家岁月平安！
