Elderly Together: Helping Seniors with Cats & Dogs

Donation protected

When Dogs & Cats are allowed to stay with their loving, human companions, they stay out of shelters with high euthanasia rates. To aid them please donate for food, blankets, pet beds, leashes, collars, harnesses, toys, pet clothes, and other critical supplies to homeless pet owners, low-income seniors, and homebound people with pets.No person should have their pets taken away because they can’t afford the necessary supplies for their pets’ survival. No Pet should go hungry, be uncomfortable, or suffer.

Every donation you make will be filmed to Show Your Support.

Cristian Ruben is a self made filmmaker with over 15 years of experience in photography. He is the founder of the only nonprofit that advocates for homeless cats and dogs through creative film. His most recent film, “The Life of a Cat Trapper,” can be viewed on his YouTube Channel i Film Heroes, along with over 50 more of his cat & dog rescue related films. Cristian’s films have helped cancer treatment funding for a rescue dog in need as well as raise awareness on changing the law to a felony for sexual assault on dogs. Cristian prides himself in using his artistic talent to create a new lane for rescue advocacy in the rescue world.
Supporting the production of our films helps us create the content needed to keep homeless cats and dogs off the streets and in happy homes. Your contributions will allow us to travel to and from rescue locations and give visual representations to real life issues pertaining to cat & dog rescue & the communities they live in.

OurStory;

i Film Heroes, The Rescue Cat & Dog Filmmaker is the only non-profit that uses creative film and photography to advocate and raise awareness for rescue cats and dogs in the United States. We use story-telling in our films to educate the public on several rescue topics such as;  fostering, adopting, volunteering etc. Our stories are filmed and shared on our social media platforms like YouTube , where viewers have an opportunity to watch and share to help us spread our mission. Being such a unique organization has given us an opportunity to create ways via film to stand out and make a statement. Our content serves as a resource to those who may not know enough about the cat & dog rescue community and don’t want to do the research to find out. Instead, our films can be viewed as entertainment and  education. The films and content  we share demonstrate our efforts to potential sponsors and supporters.

Support & Involvement;

Monetary. In Kind. Social Media Sharing. Partnering. Sponsoring. Collaborating

With your support we believe we can grow on a larger scale making the impact we have dreamed of. Your engagement with our mission would help create the opportunities we need to film more stories and help more dogs and cats find better homes.

Your support would be the greatest example of just how important it is to work together. There are so many ways we could help one another to help more pets.

Our vlogs would improve with your involvement . Together we have more opportunities to film and create authentic stories that are always unique. Unlike platforms like The dodo, we only feature rescue stories filmed & edited by iFilmHeroes, keeping our collection constantly flowing with up to date content that viewers can connect with, learn from and continue to watch. If I  could portray anyone it would have to be Anthony Bourdain but of rescue stories, traveling to different states and locations that have stories that people want to see. Highlighting the rescue world inspires new ideas to help more rescues find the support or homes they so desperately wait for. My experience in photography provides top quality images for individuals or rescue groups who need help.

Our Efforts;

We decided that we had to take a few steps back in order to keep moving forward and improve our image.

Being a seasoned fashion portrait photographer who had substantial work in the field living in and around New York City, enabled me with an opportunity to extend my resume into the world of rescue cats & dogs. I wanted to create better images for those waiting desperately for a home in shelters. Instead, the idea transformed into storytelling short film style. After a few films I decided that in order for us to create the content needed to help more homeless pets , I would have to learn how to film and edit everything on my own. I spent about a year mastering film and thankfully having the skills in photography made the transition achievable.

I am so proud of the films I have created since, because they come from a genuine heart , one that is passionate about rescue cat and dog advocacy and wants to be part of the change. Our social media platforms are all organically grown and we strive to keep our supporters engaged and enlightened by our stories.

Our stories are created to inspire & educate the public on the relevance of getting involved with rescue & how they too can make a difference. Our stories have helped cancer treatment funding for a rescue dog in need as well as raise awareness on changing the law to a felony for sexual assault on dogs. We pride ourselves in using our artistic talent and creating a new lane for rescue advocacy in the rescue world.

Expansion;

Building & operating a Cat Cafe where we can advocate for more homeless adoptable cats is another opportunity to be a physical part of improvement towards the cat overpopulation. Being able to have part of the cafe be a holding station for those cats we trap that still have a chance to be domesticated is also a goal of ours.  With this fundraising campaign we hope to establish a better opportunity to get closer to the development of all our life saving plans.

We hope that you are inspired after learning more about our mission & would consider supporting our cause.

Thank you!
