NURSERY SCHOOL NEEDS RENOVATION HELP

We're down to the final two weeks!
Peace Through Play Nursery has always had as a goal to become a completely sustainable nursery school. Over the years we've been moving in that direction (see below). Thanks to so many of you, we just had the entire interior of the school painted with non-VOC paint. Now we very much want to dispose of the carpet in our large room and replace it with sustainable flooring: either cork or bamboo.
The cost for these flooring materials ranges from $5000 to $8000. This will be the next phase of our fundraising campaign.
In addition, we absolutely still need to replace fence posts on the playground, landscape the playground to prevent flooding, repair parts of the roof, and insulate and secure the basement to prevent flooding. Eventually we hope to explore permaculture as a means for total sustainability!

Peace Through Play is such an important preschool because we are so intent on giving children so much: we have two acres of woods with trails that connect chidlren to nature, we compost and recycle daily, we promote daily exercise and healthy eating (serving only organic food), we practice yoga every day, and we are the most ethnically diverse nursery school I know teaching children all the skills they need to become great learners and great people.
Peace Through Play is licensed by New York State and Accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
I said previously that I'm not comfortable asking for money - especially in light of all the very serious issues that people need to raise money for. But seeing how much we've raised so far, I see that it is a viable way to help support the school - and people have been so, so generous.
The fact is, this is a very special nursery school that is doing incredible work with children. Our tuition budget covers most expenses except for these larger projects that now will add greatly to the mission of the school. We keep our tuition at a very reasonable rate to accommodate all families.
The families at Peace Through Play do everything they can to support the school and frankly, paying tuition is all I would hope from them. So I'm reaching out to the world for help and support!! THANK YOU!!
