Lens fell from 6000ft

I take pictures on the side for fun.

But recently, I've been getting serious about it.

I get invited to events and get asked to take headshots.

A friend asked me to take engagement photos and it was great fun, and it turned out great.

Then another friend invited me to take aerial photos on his rented plane. Aerial photos. I was holding on to that camera for dear life. I zoomed, and I will never forget what it looks like to have a lens fly out of your hand. From 6000ft above sea level, it dropped 4000ft into the lake I was taking photos of. This is the very last photo from my lens right before it flew out of my hand.

This is the craziest way for me to lose a lens, and I am still being asked to take photos, but I do not have immediate funds to purchase the lens. The majority of the photos I take are pro-bono, so I don't even have earnings to pay for my lens.

This is where I ask for your help. For years, I have taken photos of friends and events for free. If you have ever enjoyed any of my photos, please consider helping me fund my new lens. The lens I lost is my ONLY lens. You will have my deepest thanks, and of course, you can keep asking me for photos.

If you can't help fund me, that's totally fine. You can help me by liking my Facebook page!

The pricing takes into consideration gofundme fees, taxes, and protection for the lens. If I get more than my goal, I will buy lights, backdrops, and/or a monopod, which I desperately need as well.

Your help is super appreciated.
