Michael Gatavaski of East Haven, CT was in a critical motorcycle accident 7/18/14. Charlie, his beloved friend, was lost on the road that evening. Michael has been fighting for his life ever since. He is currently in a coma with a traumatic brain injury and several broken bones. The prognosis at this time is unknown. His many loves ones are hoping for a miracle, and knowing Michael he will try like crazy to make that happen.
Michael, a 10 year employee at White's Plumbing in West Haven, has a beautiful wife Ashley, and a 4 year old daughter Michaela who absolutely adore him. Ashley has been a soldier since the moment this happened; she is fighting right beside her husband.
He's such a man’s man; always working with his hands and helping EVERYONE he knows with their projects. It’s our turn to help him!! Michael always keeps busy; we all know he is going to focus that energy on coming back to his beautiful family. He took incredible care of them; we need to help Michael take care of them for now!
Ashley is a nursing student at Gateway Community College and prior to the accident she worked part time as a Medical Assistant. She has a passion for taking care of people and plans on taking care of Michael when he wakes up! Michael and Ashley will be out of work for the foreseeable future; we hope to take the burden of worrying about saving their beloved home off of Ashley's shoulders.
All of us that know and love Michael, Ashley, and darling little Michaela want to help the family focus on healing Michael; we want to be their support system and worry about the little things; like money.
