Support Riley Lestrud Kicking Cancer

Riley Lestrud and family need a miracle - and your positive thoughts, prayers and support Riley is in a tough, ongoing battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). The latest chemotherapy trial didn’t work, and Riley’s team is looking into any options left for trials. Riley still hasn’t eaten in weeks. He is constantly nauseous and in pain from enlarged lymph nodes. Riley’s leukemia has not responded to conventional chemotherapy. Although he did respond to the NK Cell treatment donated by his mom in St. Louis, it didn’t get the leukemia % low enough to go to transplant. Riley - and his family- are strong and have been through so much every, single day since he relapsed on February 10, 2020. They still have a long road ahead. His mother, JoDee, continues to care for him and not able to work. His father, Shane, was commuting to work when they were at Children’s hospital in Milwaukee, but has been with them since they were transferred to St. Louis. The Lestruds including Riley’s twin brother, Parker, live in Green Bay. Riley was first diagnosed in September 2018 and spent more than 150 days in the hospital during his initial treatments.
