Onto year TWO in Ms. Belsky's classroom!

To my family, friends, and community,
I am thrilled to be starting year two at North Miami Middle School in room 3129! I'm sure my rising 8th graders are as eager as I am to get the year started. After a very successful first year I am looking forward to seeing my 8th graders from last year start high school this coming August. It is really amazing how far they've come! Now I am prepping for my new incoming students and there are a lot of ideas on how to improve this incoming year with the resources that you can help provide! These include individual white boards and markers for better student engagement and involvement in class. I am also investing in a common core tool kit that will provide my students with hands-on manipulatives such as cubes and shapes and different measuring tools to help them ease into the new curriculum starting this year in Miami-Dade. Unfortunately, our school and community doesn't have the resources to fund many of these incredibly helpful tools. Any help from my community is really appreciated. As I say over and over, it takes a village to raise a child. You are part of this village for my students. Throughout the year they learn about the gifts you've given them and they feel the belief you have in them that they will achieve and that goes very far. I will continue to share with you the amazing things they do and accomplish throughout the year and share pictures of their progress.
