Justice for Jose

Donation protected
Jose got here to the United States when he was just a 1 year old. Even though he was not born here, this is his home. He went to school and grew up in New Jersey. He learned how to speak English, played football, worked with his dad’s company, and managed to graduate high school! He was trying to live the American dream and was trying to have a better life here since his home country (El Salvador) is known for violence and gangs. He was accused of something he didn’t do and got charged with a minor offense and was sent to Morris County jail with his friends. As his friends were able to get a bail, Jose was unable, due to his immigration status and got sent to ICE. As he was fighting his case, he got into an altercation with a corrections officer and got beat and sexually assaulted. Link regarding his assault (https://gothamist.com/news/ice-detainee-nj-jail-says-guards-beat-sexually-assaulted-him-shower). The Essex County Jail is trying to cover up what really happened and Jose is trying to fight his case. After he fights his case at the Essex county jail, he will be transferred back to ICE again and will try to fight to stay in this country. Any donation is appreciated and could be used for his commissary, phone calls, lawyer/medical record fees, bail(crossing our fingers for him to get one). Thank you and God bless!
