Jamie's Medical Bills

This page was created to help a long time friend and her family with medical expenses.
When I was a child, Jamie was not only a mentor, but a friend. I remember being excited to go to Sunday School, Awana, then later youth group, and many other events, because I would get to see Jamie. I can't even imagine how many other kids have felt that way about her over the years. She was a friend when I needed one.
Jamie has been battling cancer for years now, better for awhile, but is now sick again. She is about to have an extremely dangerous and invasive surgery called pelvic exenteration. She will have to go to Denver where the Doctors will remove everything in her pelvis. It's a full hysterectamy in addition to the removal of her colon and bladder. The surgery alone is terrifying, but the aftercare will be no picnic. Jamie will have to stay in ICU for two weeks after the surgery, and a long road to recovery awaits her. Though she will never be fully back to normal.
I have no doubt that Jamie's work here is not finished, if anyone deserves help it's her! She would never ask anything of anyone, so I will do it for her. If there is any way you can help, please do. It could be $10, a (healthy) dinner, a hotel room so her family can visit her (I know someone has a points credit card! ;) ), groceries, a card, flowers, whatever you are comfortable with.
