Help Gretchen Kick Cancer's Butt

How to describe my Gretchen? Wonderful wife, devoted mother, fierce friend--all fit, but I think she's best described as a refreshing ray of sunshine.
My beautiful wife was diagnosed with cervical cancer two weeks ago. The type of cancer--adenocarcinoma--tends to jump around in the body, so we quickly got her in for a PET/CT scan. We felt very blessed to learn that the cancer has not spread anywhere else. Since the initial diagnosis, we've run through a crazy gamut of emotions. As scary as this situation has been and continues to be, Gretchen is handling it with the optimism and vibrancy of life she is known for.
Her doctors have recommended a six-week regimen of daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy followed by surgery. We are firm believers in holistic medicine and natural remedies and have seen so many miracles through those processes, so contemplating the radiation/chemo/surgery treatment plan has been a challenge but one we feel is the right course to take. She will start her recommended treatments on November 17. Equally difficult was the decision to ask for assistance this way. Our high-deductible insurance will cover some of the costs (we found out the PET/CT scan alone was $6,000), but we are trying not to think about the mounting medical bills that are looming just around the corner.
We have already felt so much love and support from so many people. We may never be able to adequately express our gratitude for your help. We'll certainly try, but what we can't convey through words we certainly hope and pray you will feel.
