The Zach Smith Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Monday, July 21st, after a long day in the ER, Zach was diagnosed with a life threatening brain tumor in the cerebellum. Zach is scheduled for surgery today, Tuesday, July 22nd at 2:00pm. The neurosurgeon is hopeful that the tumor is benign and the surgery will be successful at removing the tumor. Please, friends, pray with us for several specific requests:
-Pray that the Lord will give the surgeon wisdom and will guide his hands during surgery
-Pray with us for a successful outcome, and that Zach, Anna, and all of us are prepared for what lies ahead
-Pray for peace for Zach and all of us who love him, that there will be no complications as a result of the surgery.
We are thankful for modern medicine and the technology available that found the tumor and will be used for its removal. As Zach recovers, we are being told that it will be a long, hard road ahead. The days following the surgery will be the most difficult as his symptoms will continue to get worse before they get better. He is facing being out of work for at least two months in order for his brain to fully heal.
We invite you to pray for Zach throughout the entire process, specifically during the surgery and the critical hours following the procedure. Many have asked what they can do to help during this time, please pray! And if you feel led, please consider donating to his cause. Because Zach does not have medical insurance, we have created this site for anyone that would like to help him and Anna with medical expenses. Zach’s recovery is our number one concern, however anything we do during this time to lessen their stress will assist in this process. Thank you!
