Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of a very loving, generous, and funny man. My brother, Ryan Baxter, and his wife, Shelley, have 2 really great kids: Chad - 15 and Brooke - 12. They have always been a very close family that loves to laugh together. Ryan was always so protective and respectful of Shelley, who was his best friend and the love of his life. He was a fantastic father who took a sincere interest in the lives of his kids and made spending quality time with them a priority in his life. He was a loyal and loving son, brother, and friend.
Ryan has struggled with bad health for years and years, but things took an unusually bad turn when, in the summer of 2014, Ryan was admitted to the hospital due to kidney failure. He would fight a very brave and hard fight over the next year and a half. Early in 2015 he started dialysis, while he and his wife underwent all of the examinations necessary for transplant. Shelley was approved to be his donor. On November 17, 2015 they underwent the surgery. Things seemed to go really well, and they were released to go home on schedule. Soon, Ryan was readmitted to the hospital and informed that he had Acute Cellular Rejection version 2A. We worried and prayed over this scary news. He was given treatments that worked, and he was sent home on December 6th. Ryan was excited to start feeling well again and he was busy making plans for the future. Then on the morning of December 9th he suddenly stopped breathing. He was rushed to the nearest ER where they worked tirelessly to save him. A blood clot had gone to his heart and he passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.Through all of his trials, he remained good humored and giving. He is greatly missed. We are asking for your help to raise money for the young family that he left behind. They are now left without their "money bags" as they lovingly referred to him. He worked hard to be a good provider to his family, and now they are left with the costs of his funeral. It would mean so much to have some of the financial woes alleviated at this difficult time for Shelley and the kids.Thank you for your time and donations.
