Help those effected by the beirut explosion

Dear friends,

I reach out to you with a heavy heart after my old country witnessed the most devastating blow in its history on the eve of August 4th, 2020.
Amidst a failed economy and total financial collapse where individuals have lost the ability to withdraw money from their own bank accounts since October 2019, a massive blast decimated the city killing over 200, injuring over 6000, and rendering an estimated 500,000 people homeless including our family and friends. With no immediate funds at their disposal, the people of Beirut have no hope for repairing the damage incurred for months to come.
I created this page to try to raise money and send directly to the stricken families in Beirut. I know times are tough for everyone due to Covid-19, but the pain and sorrow that the people of Lebanon are feeling is indescribable. So we thought that would be the best way to help from so far away.
Friends, Lebanon needs us more than ever. You can help by sharing this and donating. Anything helps.

Many of you have asked us how they could help.
Although there are plenty of relief funds dedicated for treating the wounded and providing medical aid and supplies, shelter for those who have lost their homes remains a big concern.
The money will get to our close family members on the ground there to be disbursed on simple humanitarian need to those they encounter in Beirut. This money will help individuals either relocate or perform some salvaging work in order to bring a roof back over their heads as they await the relief funds for long term rebuilding. We will update the campaign with short videos of the money being handed out.
