As many of you know Oscars Home, also the home of Norie and their ten year old son Mequin, caught fire and burnt to the ground on Sunday the 26th.
It was a devastating thing to watch and not be able to stop. Fire is fast and relentless. Thankfully, nobody was in the home and everybody is safe and unharmed. However, it was a total loss of items. Cars were in the garage, computers, phones, identification, personal momentos, all of the little things we often take for granted, were in the house. All three of them are in surprisingly good spirits! The home was insured, but the destruction and disruption in their lives is huge. There has been an out-pouring from the community, beautiful friends, neighbors and even strangers wondering what they can do and how they can help! This is why we have created this campaign. Right now they do not need things, or items, as they have nowhere to put them. They have already been helped with clothing and toiletries for this moment. What would be most helpful are donations here on GoFundMe. These donations will help with the immediate needs as they come up , and will create a bridge in the gap between this moment of chaos and the point where they get to begin rebuilding not only their home, but their new lives.
