A Breath of Hope

Back in the Spring, my partner Jamie had gone into chronic rejection of his double lung transplant. Jamie has had a life filled with health lows. Born with cystic Fibrosis, to his transplant. Since then, his health has been rapidly declining. There is no stopping this. Thankfully, the doctors in Toronto have agreed to give Jamie another chance and he will be going for another double lung transplant. Anyone who has been lucky enough to know Jamie, knows he is a rare quality person. Jamie is caring, kind, positive, genuine, and always puts everyone else before himself. I've never experienced someone who values the little things in life so much. He truly lives life with all that he is. I've never met a stronger, more loving person in my life. If anyone deserves this, it's him. I truly believe that this is God's way of lending some help in a very desperate time.
Jamie will have to travel to, and stay in Toronto to have this life saving procedure. He will be on a wait list for new lungs, endure the procedure, and the start a difficult road to recovery. He will be there for MONTHS! If he got a transplant on day one, he would be there the required minimum of three months to recuperate. Knowing what's involved in waiting for a match, a donor, etc it would very likely be a much longer stay. Unfortunately the majority of necessities aren't covered by anything. The costs will include: travel, medications, food, getting to and from appointments when not hospitalized, the basic necessities we all take for granted, and much more.
I have never ever been the one to ask for help..... But this situation is quite literally life or death. For this reason, I am humbly asking for help.
