Medical and Travel expenses

On the urging of friends, I have started a go-fund me account to help with medical and travel expenses while on this nightmare journey for my husband, Tommy Pulda, a police officer with the City of Yuma.  Tommy was recently diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, kidney cancer, in his right kidney.  The doctors have told us it is very large (about the size of a potato), taking up over half of his kidney.  We just found out that it looks as though it may have spread past his kidney.  Tommy has been scheduled for an MRI, so the doctors can get a better look at the area they are concerned with.  To address some additional concerns, they have also scheduled MRIs of Tommy's brain and chest.  We will be traveling back up to Phoenix for the MRIs this week, and will then meet with the doctors to go over the results of those tests.  Tommy will then undergo surgery this week to have his entire kidney removed.  After the surgery, the doctors will give us more information, including what stage Tommy's cancer is in and what comes next.  At this point, we don't know completely what to expect after the surgery, as some of that will hinge on what they find with the MRIs and surgery, but we have been told the recovery from the surgery alone will be 4-6 weeks.  In less than two weeks, our world has been completely thrown upside down.  Tommy has always been our rock; our hero - the strong one who never complains about anything; never gets sick.  On top of all that, Tommy is the greatest person you'll ever meet; kind, patient, and caring..Just ask anyone.
