For the last 14 years, Hannah's Hope Ministries has served homeless women and children in Reading, PA. We work with the women to achieve short and long term goals including, but not limited to; career counseling, education, life skills, budgeting, and parenting.
We want to expand our services and purchase a house that will offer a 24/7 comprehensive program. We have become Hannah’s Hope Ministries so that we can provide a residential program that will give women counseling on a daily basis, encouragement throughout the day, and a loving support system around them. We will be able to serve single mothers and their children for up to two years while the women work to transition to independent, permanent housing.
This dream has become a reality as God has given us the perfect home. The home is $450,000, and so far, we have raised $215,000 to use as a down payment. With continued assurance from the bank over the last six months, we planned to mortgage the remaining $235,000. For months this plan was in place and both parties were in agreement that the closing date would be February 28, 2018. However, 15 days before the closing, we were told that the bank was sorry, but that they would only loan us $115,000. We were shocked and disappointed thinking about the many families in the community who are homeless and need the opportunities that this house will provide.
With $120,000 standing in our way from purchasing this home, we are asking our community, friends, and family to help us raise this money in just 14 days!
Please consider a donation of any amount! Every dollar will make a difference and get us closer to our goal. With your help, countless families will be given a future and a hope by the end of the month!
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope.

** In order to avoid confusion, we want to clarify that Elm Street Ministries changed its name to Hannah's Hope Ministries in September 2017. That is why both names are mentioned on this campaign, but we want to assure you that they are the same organization with the same tax ID number and the same mission.
