Text wall incoming – TLDR: We want your money. But we promise it’s for a valid reason. The Hall is kinda fugly right now and we need your help to get more people in it by wooing them with good food and wholesome activities.
The active chapter is continuing a fundraising effort to increase our budgets for our Rush and Outreach committees for this spring and subsequent semesters. Rush committee is in charge of planning and executing our recruitment process, and Outreach committee organizes events within the wider UNC and Chapel Hill community. In the past, Outreach has participated in events such as Goth Croquet with a fellow frat, and a Relay For Life fundraiser in October 2018 that transformed 207 into a haunted house. Both committees are essential in publicizing the Hall.
We have been preparing to undergo renovations throughout this academic year, so access to the Hall has been very limited compared to past years. Given these anticipated improvements, there are also currently no residents at the Hall. No residents means no rent money, and no rent money means our budget this year is tighter than usual. If you’d like your money to go towards something in particular, just let us know in the notes section!
If you don’t want to send us money, consider buying us toilet paper. Or other necessities from our Amazon wishlist. There’s only so much we can steal from the Carolina Inn [hypothetically, of course, we don’t condone nor participate in illegal activities of any kind].
