Help save the Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies

We need your Help!
Hi, my name is Katrina and I am a member of the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby Preservation Association (a not-for-profit and volunteer association), who have been working over the last 20+ years to save the Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies from extinction within the Bunkers Conservation Reserve - Flinders Rangers, South Australia.
We have experienced over recent years when the track is damaged by heavy rail fall, it takes months before a contractor can get out there to fix it(at considerable cost). This leaves us with limited or no access across the Reserve and reduces our ability to create any income to cover ongoing costs.
The track access is extremely important, as it enables volunteers to gain access across the reserve, so they can continue their conservation work, monitoring and preservation of the endangered Yellow Foot Rock Wallabies. The tracks also give access for firefighting needs, feral animal control through the laying of baits, fixing fences and environmental monitoring for grassland surveys and spraying of weeds.
The main Mt Caernarvon Track also gives access to the public, so they can self-drive the highest tracks in the Flinders Rangers and see the amazing flora and fauna that the Reserve has to offer. Visitors paying to drive this 4x4 track provide a modest income to support the ongoing conservation work across the Reserve and pay the required insurance costs. If the track is closed due to rain damage, there are not enough funds to meet the ongoing costs.
Access to the campsite provides a base for the volunteers to stay and recharge after long days in the field. The campsite can also accommodate students on study tours.
We need your help to purchase a piece of plant equipment (a tractor with various attachments and a trailer to carry it). The association has volunteers to use the equipment, but not the funds to purchase it.
Based on the committee’s research of equipment, I am hoping to raise $70,0000 to cover the cost of the equipment and a trailer. If fundraising goes above this, the funds will be held for ongoing fuel and maintenance of the equipment.
Please help us to preserve the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby population with the Bunkers Conservation Reserve.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated by both volunteers and the Yellow Foots.
Thank you
