Butchy and Scrappy will get by with a little help

Butchy and Scrappy are a pair of adorable, loving Chihuahua X dogs whose owner has fallen on hard times and has needed to give them up. They are six and ten years old, respectively, and have unfortunately been neglected for a long while.
Their owner’s daughter reached out for someone to care for them and a friend of a friend was notified and being the biggest animal lover in the world, she knew she had to do something. Wendy is a semi-retired former Animal Health Technician with two animals of her own to care for. She has spent her life rescuing animals of all sorts: dogs, cats, rabbits… but now that she is semi -retired and on a limited budget, she cannot afford to care for Butchy and Scrappy on her own.
Neither dog was house-trained so Wendy has been working on that, along with other challenging health issues: Scappy has kidney disease and only 6-12 months to live and Butchie’s test results from the vet have been inconclusive due to her severe stress and anxiety. She will need repeat tests in the near future. She needs to be spayed and have her teeth cleaned, likely with a few extractions as well. The quoted price for the spaying is $520 and the dental work is $700, $1400 if extractions are needed.
Wendy has already spent $950 on vet bills, leashes, harnesses, diapers, pee pads, ID tags, and sweaters, as the dogs came to her with literally nothing. She is in dire need of financial help as she cannot care for these dogs on her limited income.
We are asking you to spare any amount you can to help Wendy provide for these little guys. They are great dogs, curious, happy and full of life and love. Please forward this page to anyone you can—we would appreciate that greatly.
