Why Babasea Primary School?
Babasea Primary School is located in their village - Levukaidaku, Matuku. This is the paternal village of Unise and Tisha who both reside abroad.
What inspired this fundraiser?
Both of these women were discussing ways to improve and encourage education in their village. They contacted the headteacher who expressed how desperate the library is for reference and non-fiction books. One thing lead to another and here they have this fundraiser!
Who are we?
Unise, who is the founder of Meke Movements, is a professional dancer and amateur actor and musician. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, she not only performs and teaches dance classes but has a strong background in facilitating creative, personal development programs, working with at-risk youths.
She is extremely active in her Fijian community and has great intentions of building her community and empowering the people.
Tisha is the brand owner of her "The Cultured Qween LLC" .She is a visual artist who resides in Silicon Valley in California. She is a poet, Cookout Queen , Womanist, Food Snob, Photography Feen, creative workshop facilitator regarding mental health awareness.She is a mom raising young boys navigate the modern world with a healthy blend of their traditional Fijian culture .instagram.com/theculturedqween
