Dave's Burkina Faso Missions Trip

This winter I'll be heading to Burkina Faso, Africa leaving on January 12th and returning on January 25th.
I'll be working with local missionaries through Envision International, part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA). Burkina Faso is a landlocked country in West Africa about the size of Colorado with a population of about 17 million. Burkina is consistently in the top five poorest countries in the world. Ninety percent of the population works in agriculture which is difficult given their climate. For more information about Burkina you can visit www.burkina.com.
This trip has its roots in a children's program at my church where they raised money to dig wells in Burkina. The effort expanded to the whole church and in the end we had raised enough money for 13 wells! Following this the local missionaries challenged the church to send a team over to help dig those wells. As you can see I accepted that challenge. While there I may be involved in projects such as building/roofing churches or schools, bush evangelism, and of course digging wells!
In order to make all this successful I need your help! First, please pray for safe and hopefully uneventful travel (luggage, connections, customs, etc.), for the team's health and safety, and that we will be able to sincerely connect with the Burkinabe people and show them God's love. Second, I need your financial support! I have been working to raise some of the money on my own, but will not be able to do it alone! The airfare is more than half the cost with room and board, ground transportation, and visa and document fees making up the balance.
