Casey Rogers, most commonly known as Coach Rogers, is one of the 2020 Burke County Dancing with the Burke Stars Contestants. Each year contestants choose a local charity or organization to raise awareness and funds for. Coach Rogers has chosen the Certificate Program at Freedom High School as his organization.
The Certificate Program at Freedom High is composed of students who are served through the Exceptional Children program. Each student has a minimum of one moderate to severe disability. These students work towards typical academics, as well as functional, vocational and life skills.
Money from this GoFundMe account will go towards funding a cooperative learning/sensory room, as well as tools to meet other sensory needs within the classroom. Creating a learning environment that allows students to regulate their sensory needs in imperative to fostering growth.
All donations can be given generously here. The students and teachers in the Certificate Program are proud of their Principal and are grateful for his support.
