BUMC’s Raise the Roof Campaign
Tax deductible
Dear Family and Friends of Broadway United Methodist Church,
We, the members of the Money Ministry, are reaching out because Broadway UMC needs our help.
As you may know, Chicago winters have taken their toll on our church building and our church parking lot and they are in urgent need of repair. The cost of these repairs will exceed $50,000 (roof) and $20,000 (parking lot) respectively. To start working on the roof, we have borrowed from invested funds, but it is not a strategy that supports long-term success.
Why does Broadway UMC need our dedicated support?
· Our church welcomes everyone and celebrates our God-given diversity.
· Our church is an advocate for social justice and continues to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.
· Our church continues to provide spiritual services for the families and friends of this community.
· Our church offers space and resources, including a hot meal, to the youth in our neighborhood experiencing housing instability.
· Over the years our church has meant a lot to us and our families.
· Sitting at the corner of Buckingham and Broadway, our church has been a unique asset to the Lakeview neighborhood and needs our help to be maintained.
To continue to provide the services that are important to our community, Broadway UMC needs us and our financial support for our Capital Fundraiser by October 31, 2018. Note that the first $5,000 raised will be matched by an anonymous donor.
We can make donations (please indicate “capital fundraiser” in memo) by:
* Placing cash or checks, payable to Broadway United Methodist Church, in the offering plate on Sunday
* On-line at www.BroadwayChurchChicago.com/give
* Mailing checks to 3338 N. Broadway St., Chicago, Illinois 60657
* Donating to this GoFundMe page
If you have any questions, feel free to email us at [email redacted], call the church office at [phone redacted] or join us on Sunday mornings. We hope to continue our conversations, and we thank you for your support.
Let’s reflect upon what Broadway has meant to us and give generously.
