Deep in the heart of a bustling city, nestled amidst towering skyscrapers and luxury apartments, lies a forgotten corner – one of the worst slums of Africa, MAKOKO, a slum where hope struggles to survive. In this labyrinth of poverty, children roam aimlessly, their laughter drowned by the harsh realities of their surroundings. Education is a distant dream, a luxury reserved for the privileged few.

In the midst of despair, a beacon of light emerges – a vision to build a school where every child, regardless of their circumstances, can dare to dream and aspire for a better tomorrow. This is the story of our mission – to create a haven of learning in the heart of the slum.

In our envisioned school, education will be not just a curriculum, but a lifeline, a pathway out of poverty. We dream of classrooms filled with eager minds, hungry for knowledge and thirsty for change. But dreams alone cannot build a school; it takes a community, a collective effort to turn vision into reality.

With your support, we can provide free education to those who cannot afford it and low-cost education to those who can contribute minimally. Every donation, no matter how small, will be a brick in the foundation of hope we're laying down for these children. Together, we can break the cycle of poverty and empower the next generation to rewrite their futures.

We appreciate the Prevailers Women and Family Empowerment Foundation who have been a pillar of support in turning this dream on paper into a building. We thank also House on the Rock International Church and the children ministry for all the help and support rendered to us up until now.

At this stage, the foundations with tons of sand have been laid, and the walls, roofing, doors, windows and boards are all up. We also have a few painted tables for the nursery, a few shelves and tables.

The task ahead of us is however so huge that we need more support in flooring and painting the school, putting the ceiling, electrical works (cables and lighting, fans), solar panels for electricity (as the electricity in the slums is not stable), installing toilets, purchasing desks and chairs, cabinets, lockers, tables, marker boards, toys, instructional materials, stationeries, television, laptops etc.
