Building Fund/Oberlin House of the Lord Fellowship

Tax deductible
Dear Friends,

We have some exciting news and we wanted to share it with you first!

Our church is moving and we invite you to partner with us in prayer and support as we embark on this new venture.

As you know, our Fellowship started back in 1998 as a Bible Study gathered around our dining room table at 190 Woodland Street.

Several within the Bible Study were also members of a community advocacy group, the Oberlin Black Alliance for Progress. This Bible study emerged as a worshipping fellowship in January 2002, when it moved into the basement of our newly built home at 251 Hollywood Street.

Over these past 18 years, our Fellowship has grown and become an integral part of the Oberlin and Northeast Ohio community, doing our best to fulfill our call to serve the spiritual, social, and community needs of our neighbors and to be a beacon of God’s love, grace, and justice wherever a light is needed.

Now the Spirit is leading us to even higher ground with increased opportunity for ministry and service to our community.  And we have said yes!  We just purchased a church building, a place where we can expand and grow and offer more programs to our community.  Our new church at 125 South Pleasant Street in Oberlin, was home to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church for more than 80 years.  They have been blessed to move to a new facility, creating this special opportunity for us.

Have we said that we’re excited?  We are! And we’re reaching out to friends of The House to invite you to partner with us as we step into God’s new phase of ministry for us.  Yes, we need and desire your prayers and well-wishes. But we also need your financial support. Before we can move in, we need to undertake some work on the foundation and electrical upgrades and purchase furnishings.  We need just about $30k to complete this work.  Can you help?  Your contribution of any amount will be joyfully received.  Contributions can be sent to the Oberlin House of the Lord Fellowship, P.O. Box 0356, Oberlin, Ohio 44074 or through Givelify.com.  Contributions can also be made on Gofundme.com.
