Building a Residential School in Rural India

My very dear friend Aishwarya Joshi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAR-RFZ-EPU is passionately working on her new project - BUILDING A NEW RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL IN A RURAL VILLAGE OF INDIA.
The school is located in the Beed district of the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. It is a draught- prone and economically backward region where a large number of people temporarily relocate for nearly six months every year during the sugarcane harvest season. This relocation hinders education for their children. And this lack of education is the root-cause of many social problems. To combat this predicament, the Sondara Gurukulam was established in 1986.
Though the School was initially founded focusing the Beed district, today it has encompasses the entire state of Maharashtra, with beneficiaries from districts like Jalna, Nanded, Osmanabad, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Pune, Parbhani, Sangli etc. More than 1500 students have had the opportunity for education from this Gurukul and at present around 200 students are participating in the project.
The project involves building a new educational campus with basic amenities and facilities.

The new school will have a large kitchen to provide food to the resident students and staff. The current kitchen is very basic and most of the cooking process is done manually without the use of any appliances. This is time consuming and labour intensive and distracts the focus of the staff from quality of food to quantity of production required.
The Mack Group aims to raise $3000 to be able to support the school with basic kitchen appliances which will assist in preparation of healthy food for the students and the staff.
After all a healthy body is where a healthy mind thrives!
