HejHumans was born a year ago to tackle the growing disconnection in society by creating spaces for real human connection.
Through our "Heart Meetings"—workshops centered on eye contact, deep listening, and heartfelt conversations—we’ve helped hundreds feel truly seen, heard, and appreciated. We believe that fostering connection can reduce conflict, and build a world rooted in trust and understanding.
Since we started, HejHumans has grown into an organisation conducting workshops and projects in Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Poland and the Netherlands! We are constantly working to expand and foster more connections, and we need your help!
Our goal is to raise €10,000 to create more free workshops and events, expand research on human connection, and inspire more people through free resources and content.

Our Goal
Every euro will help us bring our free workshops to more communities, reach more people, and grow a global movement of connection and care!

- Scale our workshops: Bring our workshops and events, such as "Heart Meetings", to more communities, universities, and organizations and create cozy places where people can come and be themselves.
- Launch new research: Study the physical and emotional benefits of human connection, proving the impact of our methods.
- Social Media Presence: Creating meaningful and inspiring content to invite people to join our workshops and community and spread positivity and kindness free of charge!
- Create free resources: Develop tools and content to inspire people worldwide to connect more deeply in their daily lives.
- Expand accessibility: Offer workshops to underserved communities and those who need it most and educating more facilitators
Our Story
One year ago we started HejHumans. We were two guys who noticed how people in society were drifting apart, finding it harder to connect, listen, and truly understand each other. From knowledge of different fields that we have, we created an antidote to this growing disconnection that we call "Heart Meetings".
Heart Meetings are workshops where we speak to each other's hearts and create a place of trust, care and curiosity together. Through activities like eye contact and heartfelt conversations, we create spaces to focus on what unites us—our shared feelings, needs, and desires. We focus on inner needs, emotions and meaningful questions in our lives such as:
- What makes us feel loved?
- What makes us come alive?
- What do we really dream about?

"Heart Meetings" are built on proven methods such as Authentic Relating and Nonviolent Communication , as well as scientific studies in positive psychology and the effects of different connection practices.
This process fosters genuine connection by allowing you to glimpse the inner world of another person—their joys, struggles, and dreams. Often, you discover how much you have in common, realizing that the things you love and struggle with are shared human experiences. It reminds us that, despite our differences, we are deeply alike and can navigate life’s ups and downs together.
What began as a simple idea has grown into a network of people across Europe that are helping us reach more people! Our co-founder Baltazar moved to Berlin to create more connections and collaborations with universities and organisations. We’re now collaborating with universities, like Krakow university , and researchers, like psychology researcher Aleksandra Piejka to get empirical insights into our methods and develop them further.
Our different ways of creating connection:
- Heart Meeting workshops : Through our thoroughly designed, science based and tested "Heart Meetings" we create a space of trust and curiosity and explore what it is to be human.
- Online content and inspiration: We regularly create videos and content on social media to inspire connection between people.
- A Moment Of Presence Offering pop-up spaces to connect in public places.
We also got picked up by Swedish news for our innovative way of creating connections!
We have been working on this without earning any money because we want to make it available to everybody free of charge. We've been covering the cost of renting spaces ourselves, and our goal has always been, and remains, to keep our workshops and events free for everyone. That’s why we need your support!
Our long-term goal is to establish these spaces all around the world. Imagine a future where every city has workshops and safe spaces for meaningful human connection!
Now is the time to build a world rooted in trust rather than fear. More than ever, we need to find ways to connect, truly listen to one another, and create spaces where everyone feels heard and understood.
We believe that every person longs for connection. In a world that feels increasingly divided, we aim to unite around what we share as humans—because we are far more alike than we are different.

Our Team
Baltazar Faunbäck
Baltazar is one of the co-founders of HejHumans but also a facilitator, public speaker and a photographer/filmmaker. He is passionate about creating human connection in many ways, but especially focusing on Heart Meetings and Nonviolent Communication.

Tim is the co-founder of HejHumans. He’s a software developer with a strong interest in personal development, particularly in areas like embodiment, psychology, and health.

Katarina Zovak
Katarina, a HejHumans workshop facilitator and connection enthusiast, is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. With over 15 years of experience in both education and music, her mission at HejHumans is to create meaningful experiences that inspire others to feel deeply connected, grow and lead fulfilling lives.
