Build a school classroom in The Gambia with JOAL
Donation protected
Wyce is a charity that supports a school and health clinic in Medina Salem, a rural village in The Gambia. The charity supports the community with schooling for nearly 1000 pupils and an health clinic, without the support of Wyce these facilities would not exist. Team JOAL has supported Wyce over the past three years donating bikes, supplies and sponsoring cycle mechanics in Medina Salem. In 2017JOAL visited the community and volunteered for 10 days with Wyce. At the time of this visit the school accommodated 700 pupils. Two years on, some of the team visited Medina in January this year. The school is now at capacity catering for almost 1000 pupils, split into two shifts so everyone can get an education. After assessing the means of the community, we have decided to help fund the building of a new school classroom. It will cost approximately 6000 euro to build a new classroom and help support the future of their community by expanding their educational facilities to keep up with their needs . Every donation will help reach our goal.
