MoFundamentals presents RESILIENCE

For those of you I have not met yet, my name is Gabriel Gutierrez. I’m an adult adoptee, first generation artist, college graduate, and founder of MoFundamentals (MoABC). I am raising funds for my next artistic project: RESILIENCE. Starting December, I will be interviewing 20 foster youth artists in Southern California to share their narratives of resiliency amid the COVID pandemic. Now, more than ever, MoABC is dedicated to its mission to create space for youth to grieve, process, heal and speak about their truth in foster care while receiving equitable compensation for their time.
As a predominantly self-funded program, MoFundamentals is looking for donations from our communities to help amplify youth-centered solutions in the child welfare field. The goal of $6,000 is a celebration and reflection of 6 years of service to foster & adopted youth through a resiliency lens instead of a trauma lens, and 6 years of my own experiences in foster care.
The first five $30 donations receive a shout out on MoFundamentals IG and FB stories!
The first five $60 donations receive a 30-minute hip-hop dance class (no dance experience needed)!
The first five $100 donations receive a MoFundamentals polo shirt!
Every $200 raised covers the cost for filming and paying an interviewee for one hour of their time. If $1,000 is raised, that will be 5 interviews, if $3,000 is raised then it is 10 interviews. If our $6,000 goal is exceeded, funds will go towards production and screenings of the film for various organizations in the child welfare, education, and art field.
