Bug Me, Hug Me, Love Me

Greetings everyone. I started this fundraiser to cover the producing expenses for “Love Me, Bug Me, Hug Me,” an original play I wrote and will be directing for the NYC Frigid Festival in Winter 2023.

This play focuses on the dynamic between two gay men, one who is a hopeless romantic, and the other who struggles to maintain a sense of normalcy as a gay man on the autism spectrum. While one character falls into the old as time predicament of “looking for love in all the wrong places,” the other considers himself devoid of any sense of the word.

My goal is to reach everyone who has found themselves lost or isolated because they long for something they feel isn’t in the cards for them (finding love in the gay community), or those simply navigating the what “romance” is in a society that has told them their way of loving is wrong. This play is, first and foremost, an homage to all the lovely humans in my life who are on the spectrum and have shared the hugest chunk of their hearts with me. Thank you.
