I have landed myself in an ideal situation for the Buffalo Man, currently a full time volunteer with Buffalo Field Campaign, helping protect the Buffalo from the savage and unnecessary treatment of the US government, as well as preserving and sustaining our relationships with other humans, plants and animals. The health of the Buffalo is contingent and reflective upon the health of all of our relationships. I am grateful to be able to offer my service to the Horned ones and the non-horned wild ones. I do, however have some struggles that make life difficult and moving on impossible.
I am effectively broke, and while Buffalo Field Campaign does feed me and provide me with a place to sleep, I am unable to move on from here because my funds are at $0 and I am 90 miles from anything without a vehicle, in steady sub-zero weather. Even if i waited for warmer weather, I would still have to sleep on the street until I found work and money. One of my close family members has a large tumor in his/her brain, so the truth is that it's a matter of time until i get called back home anyway. This has left the person unable to work and has put my family into a tough spot. I also can't eat most of the food that Buffalo Field Campaign has available because of my autoimmune condition. This is only temporary, until i get next month's food stamps, but is still a major concern.
(And) For those of you who weren't aware, I owe about $180k in student debt, so I can't have a credit card or make payments on anything, even with a cosigner.
I'm not asking for something for nothing. All contributions will be matched with one of the following:
1) a poem or a song on the topic of your choosing.
2) a shamanic journey to speak with your ancestors, retrieve soul fragments or bring back power animals.
3) I have 1 extra didgeridoo that I can ship to the right person.
4) a song, written for you.
All contributions will receive a hand-written letter of thanks, mailed to your address.
What I will be spending the money on (in order of importance).
1) a $100-$150 laptop so that i can sell things, do online work and record music so that i can make money
3) a cheap audio interface
4) a yeti snowball microphone
5) if all above needs have been met, all funds after this will go directly to offsetting travel expenses for when i have to come home to NY to help... Either a plane ticket or a vehicle.
I'm trying to not get down on myself too hard for this series of circumstances. It's entirely possible that I created this because my autoimmune condition is making my whole body sore and irritated and I'm feeling worse than things actually are, but things are pretty grim.
