Buddy's cancer removal surgery
Buddy has been our family's best friend for the past 12 years who we love dearly. He is more than just a dog, he is a member of our family. Buddy loves everyone who he comes in contact with. On November 18th buddy developed a lump on his lower hind leg. We made an appointment with our local vet who thought it was inflammation and prescribed us anti inflammatory medication. A week later there was no improvement so we went back to our vet who then decided they needed to preform a needle aspiration ( biopsy).
December 4th we received the devastating results that the biopsy came back as soft tissue sarcoma which is a form of cancer. Our local vet was not able to preform the surgery due to the location of the tumor. We had to be referred to a specialist at PVSEC.
December 27th we met with the specialist who advised us the only option to save Buddy's life was to preform surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. Buddy has been scheduled to have emergency surgery on 12/30 . Buddy has been placed on antibiotics and pain medication to help him get through these next couple of days.
The specialist believes he will have a full recovery with this surgery.
The full cost is due at the time of discharge. We won’t know the total cost until after the surgery is performed. We are hoping we can raise money to help our dog get the surgical treatment that he is in dire need of. Every dollar counts! Any donations received are greatly appreciated.❤️
