Buddha’s Fight Against Breast Cancer!

Donation protected
Many know him as Brady; lifelong friends know him by Buddha, but everyone knows him by his Amazing and World-Class cooking!

You may not know that our wonderful friend was diagnosed with a rare male Breast Cancer. The news of any cancer would put most of us on our heels, but Brady took this shocking news with the same approach he has taken with every challenge in life, “I got this!” This information will be news to many of his friends, as in Brady fashion, he chose to keep his new fight close to the vest, only sharing it with a few.

On February 14, 2022, Brady underwent successful double mastectomy surgery. In preparation for the next battle, his 1st round of chemotherapy treatment, Brady had a chemo port implanted. This port became severely infected and caused Brady to get a severe case of Sepsis. Brady has been in the hospital for over a week and most in the ICU. Brady has been in the OR a couple of times as the surgeons completed a debridement to clean the infected area. Unfortunately, the Sepsis has spread to Brady's back. The excellent nurses and doctors are working diligently to get Brady back to the Buddha we all love. They say it will still be a week or more before Brady might get the chance to return home. Even once home, Brady still has to prepare for that next fight; the chemotherapy and subsequent therapies after that will be determined depending on the response to chemotherapy and follow-up scans.

Though Brady has health insurance, so many expenses are connected with this unanticipated setback that will be an out-of-pocket cost, plus the extended time of not working. The stress of financial uncertainty is something that his friends and family are hoping to remove from his plate as much as possible so he can focus on his healing. Whether it's a donation, helping with his favorite companion, "Mabel," sharing your favorite playlist, or a text, all support during this challenging time will be appreciated.

Many know that Brady would never ask for help, so we ask for him. If you feel it is in your heart to donate to this beautiful and caring person, we will be forever grateful. If you feel it is in your heart to share his story, it would mean the world. Lastly, we’re asking for all prayers to help get Brady through this unforeseen, difficult journey ahead.
