Bud Godfroy Cancer Fund

In May 2017,  Bud Godfroy was diagnosed with Stage 3 stomach cancer.  He received chemo treatments for 4 1/2 months before surgery to remove his stomach on October 26, 2017.  He has been receiving chemotherapy treatments since shortly after the surgery.  Between the 3 week interval IV treatment, he takes weekly chemo pills( which cost almost $600 each cycle) .  He is currently scheduled for 3-4 more.  He travels to Hudson for treatment, testing and  medical appointments. 

Additionally, Bud has been unable to work full time for the past 5 months while he has been recovering from surgery and chemotherapy.  As most of you know Bud is self employed and therefore his income is very limited when he is unable to work.

Bud has served the community for almost his entire life,  not only as the owner and master mechanic of Godfroy's Service Station.  For nearly 50 years, Bud has served in the New Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department,  15 years with EMS, and the Columbia County HAZMAT Team.  Saving the lives of others, freely giving his time day and night to help the members of his community and those just passing through.
