Keep Bubba Kicking!!

This is the story about Bubba Morris. When she was 37 she got sick and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and some other illnesses that contributed to chronic pain.  The pain has gotten to the point to where she has to wear vibrating slippers to distract her from the pain, wear gloves, she can't sleep in a bed, and she can't shower because the water on her skin causes severe pain and she has to do a sponge bath. After many years of suffering and doctors not knowing what to do she was then diagnosed in 2015 with CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) which is an autoimmune disorder that causes burning sensations on the hands and feet which will spread to other parts of the body. The coating of the nerves that protects them is coming off which causes severe pain. She is very desperate since her life has declined physically and is homebound. She has to take major doses of Prednisone which has caused her steroid stigmata, and has now given her diabetes and cushingoid issues.

Since 2015 she has been battling the insurance company to get the treatments she needs to help cope with the pain and slow down the regression of the nerve deterioration even after the doctors talked to the insurance company personally, they still will not authorize and approve the treatments that she needs. She has appealed all denials from the insurance company only to be denied all over again. The pain has gotten to the point where she thinks that the insurance company is letting her die. Sometimes they even advise her that she is not even insured by them even though she has been insured by them since 2008.

Bubba is one of the most caring persons and is used to helping everyone else when they needed anything. The constant pain and suffering has kept her from caring for the ones she loves. She can barely take care of herself now. Her daughter Josie who is only 16, has been her caregiver since she was 10. Bubbas' husband has to work away and is only sometimes home on the weekends. This is the only way to keep her insurance since it is insured through his job. While she is in the hospital, Josie has to stay with her 24-7 even sleeping in the waiting room by herself while she is in ICU.

The amount of medical bills that have incurred and continued to rack up have placed a financial strain and hardship on the family. There are a couple of treatments that her doctor has recommended. It is IVIGG and a series of high powered chemo infusions. We are trying to raise money in order for her to be able to afford the chemo treatments which will be approximately $75,000 in total. The IVIGG treatments are $50,000 a monthand is a 12 month treatment.

The money we are trying to raise is for the chemo treatment because it is less expensive which we hope will work and we won't have to buy the real expensive treatment which is the IVIGG. Hopefully with the money we are hoping to raise, once she gets the chemo treatments then she should be able to regain her movement and strength and stop fighting for her life. If we get the treatments then she will be able to return to the mother and wife she was before the illness struck.

She and all of her family would appreciate it if you could donate to help her get the treatments she needs. Even if you can only donate $1, anything helps. Please be assured that all money will only be used for medical expenses to help her out.
